// IG takeover: healthy eating for students with @ulli_ ๐Ÿฅ’๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŒฏ๐ŸŒฎ // Hello guys โœจ So today I wanted to talk a bit about why we should actually bother about eating healthy and about the importance of a balanced diet/lifestyle. Food is our primary source of energy, and what we put into our body actually has an amazing impact on our health and wellbeing. Whereas some health conditions might show up after many years, others like tiredness, sluggishness, bad digestion, bad skin and many more might be felt earlier. Think about it this way – imagine you had a really nice and expensive car ๐ŸŽ, and there were different brands of gas out there, some lower quality which would lead to earlier damages of the car, others high quality which would help to keep your car in good order. I'm sure you would chose the high quality fuel – and this is just the way you should think about your body ๐Ÿ™ƒ but does this mean we should restrict ourselves, chewing salad leaves all day long ? HELL NO. A healthy lifestyle should be about eating healthy foods that you actually enjoy in abundance. Go for wholefoods, like (sweet) potatoes, brown rice, wholemeal pasta and bread, all kinds of veggies and fruit you like, hearty stews and soups and currys, heavily filled burritos, homemade burgers… there's a healthier version for almost anything. BUT of course it's also ok to enjoy a piece of cake sometimes, or hot chocolate with whipped cream, or pizza or whatever it might be. It's really about finding a healthy BALANCE here. I think in the end we all want to live a happy, active and long life, and living a healthy yet balanced lifestyle definitely helps to achieve it โœŒ๐Ÿปโœจ๐Ÿค“ #motivation #foodporn #instagood #instafood #foodisfuel #balance
