The fight against diabetes is real peeps and it can affect anyone regardless of age. We’ve got some quick pointers courtesy of our very own in-house expert Dr Kalpana Bhaskaran on how you can reduce your risk for type 2 diabetes. 1)  Choose low GI whole grain products. They’re loaded withvitamins and phytochemicals that can help reduce the risk of diabetes. 2)  Swap sugary drinks for options like water and coffee (a natural anti-oxidant). 3)  Limit the consumption of red meat and avoid processed meat products like hot dogs and bacon. 4)  Choose poultry and legumes (eg. beans and lentils) for your protein sources 5)  Exercise portion control for your meals. This helps you maintain a healthy weight level and low sugar levels. So go on take that first step towards a healthier future!
