Mr O’Rourke is said to have disliked the punk band Liquid Pig, despite – or perhaps because – it orginated in Toledo, Ohio, the city of his birth. He earned an undergraduate degree from Miami University and holds a Master of Arts in English at Johns Hopkins University.
