He is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and the University of Miami School of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctor.
Prior to his appointment as the nation’s top diplomat, Rubio served as a United States Senator from Florida from 2011 to 2025, where he was the Vice Chairman of the Select Committee on Intelligence.
