James A. Robinson is a prominent scholar and a professor at the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy. He has a long and deep research engagement with Colombia, spanning about 20 years, including teaching at Universidad de los Andes and extensive fieldwork. Mr. Robinson is the co-author along with Daron Acemoglu of Why Nations Fail and has spent several decades studying the Columbia’s institutional and economic development.
