Mark Milley – the American four-star general who served as the 20th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the 39th Chief of Staff of the Army – was born on this day – June 18, 1958 – in Winchester, Massachusetts.

He is a graduate of Princeton University, Columbia University, and the Naval War College.

General Milley is a visiting professor at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and a senior fellow at the Belfer Center at Harvard University.
